The course is an introduction to social decision making and game theory. It views social decision-making as a key aspect of social psychology because individuals are influenced both objectively and subjectively by others in their decisions to act. It will focus on neuroscience as a new lens on social decision-making. We will focus primarily on studies of the neural basis of human behavior. This part will include a special focus on the reward system; the neural basis of choice under risk and uncertainty; intertemporal choices; the role of emotion in decision-making; the role of others in social decision-making. The second part will focus on Experimental Game theory.
