The lessons conducted by Prof. Bianchi will be co-presented with Dr. Valeria Vanesio on 21 and 22 March. The lectures will focus on the presentation of an important work of digitisation of sources relating to the history of the Order of Malta: one of the most typical and, at the same time, unique chivalric institutions of organisation and representation of the elites in the Ancient Regime. A system of honours that survived throughout the modern age in a 'transnational' form, delivering an important architectural, artistic and cultural heritage and becoming embedded in the social and economic structure of the Mediterranean and European world.
