This course deals with 3 main themes, aiming at the analysis of the use of English in business communication. The first theme focuses on corpus linguistics, its main concepts, and the application of this methodology to the study of specialized vocabulary, to the making of specialized glossaries and to the understanding of the discourse strategies adopted by companies in web communication. The second theme deals with the way in which international companies build their own brand and identity in their web pages. The third theme addresses the theoretical principles developed for the analysis of business crises and crisis management communication.
