Dear Students, this is to introduce the 2025 class of Heritage Studies.
The course will consist in three different types of activities: there will be lectures given by me, in class, with the aim to outline the main themes of the discourse and debates about heritage in recent years; there will be outdoor visits, to Museums and Galleries, during which we will meet curators and discuss with them about practical issues related to managing cultural heritage institutions; there will be seminars, during which you all will be asked to read, present and comment on specific articles and papers that will be assigned to you.
Please, keep in mind that, if you decide to take the exam as attending students, you will be required to take part to these activities, and will be evaluated also on your participation.
