The Blockcerts verification process, which is identical to the one that may be requested by importing the Blockcerts in Blockcerts Universal Validator, is initiated immediately when you open a Blockcerts via Bestr.
Formal verification must be completed as an initial stage. The digital fingerprint (hash) of the certificate is computed, followed by the identification of the blockchain transaction that recorded the hash, and lastly, the verification of the digital signature authenticity of the issuing organization of the blockchain certificates. The two hashes—the one produced by the document and the one kept on the blockchain—are then contrasted. Finally, it will be confirmed whether the certificate—which has been confirmed to be uncorrupted—is still in effect, hasn't been revoked and and not expired.
