This course is intended to provide the students with an introduction to superconductivity.
The topics to be discussed span from the basic phenomenology to a few applications, the SQUID magnetometer representing the most advanced one. The focus is on the experimental behaviour of materials and the corresponding quantum theory necessary for its interpretation is limited to the mimimum possible amount.
The course is completed by two experiments to be carried out during a few practical classes.
