Questo laboratorio è stato progettato con lo scopo di offrire a studentesse e studenti un panorama sulle metodologie, sulla documentazione e sugli strumenti utili a trovare e valutare le informazioni per approfondire gli argomenti della tesi e a gestire correttamente citazioni e bibliografia.
Per insegnarti ad acquisire una metodologia abbiamo costruito un percorso di ricerca che attraverso otto unità ti condurrà per step successivi dalla scelta dell’argomento alla redazione del lavoro. Imparerai a strutturare una mappa concettuale, ad elaborare un quesito di ricerca, ad individuare e valutare fonti primarie e secondarie, a conoscere strumenti per l’analisi della letteratura e a gestire correttamente le tue citazioni bibliografiche.
Questo corso, della durata di 4 ore, è rivolto alle matricole della Scuola di Economia e Management e si propone di introdurre a livello base concetti e strumenti utili per approfondire le materie oggetto di studio.
In particolare, il corso presenta brevemente:
- Le caratteristiche della comunicazione scientifica
- Le collezioni cartacee e digitali disponibili
- Gli strumenti per la ricerca bibliografica
- L’accesso alle banche dati on e off campus
- I servizi della BEM per chi studia
Competenze acquisite: comprensione della natura della comunicazione scientifica e delle diverse tipologie di documenti, conoscenza della specificità delle collezioni utili per lo studio nell'area disciplinare, capacità di cercare documenti cartacei o digitali, conoscenza della banca dati del Sole 24 ore, conoscenza degli spazi e dei servizi della BEM.
La verifica delle competenze acquisite avverrà mediante quiz di autovalutazione in itinere e test finale a risposta multipla.
This laboratory has been designed with the aim of offering students an overview of methodologies, documentation and tools useful for finding and evaluating information to extend the topics of the thesis and to correctly manage citations and bibliography.
To teach you how to acquire a methodology, we have built a research path that, through eight units, will lead you through subsequent steps from the choice of the topic to the drafting of your work. You will learn to structure a concept map, to elaborate a research question, to identify and evaluate primary and secondary sources, to know tools for literature analysis and to correctly manage your bibliographic citations.
This course is the replica of the equivalent course in Italian. It consists in 4 hours of training aimed at freshmen of the School of Economics and Management and its objective is to introduce concepts and useful tools at a basic level to help students to enhance the subjects under study.
In particular, the course briefly presents:
- The characteristics of scientific communication
- The available paper and digital collections
- The tools for bibliographic research
- Access on and off campus to databases
- BEM's services for students
Skills that should be acquired following this course: understanding of the nature of scientific communication and the different types of documents, knowledge of the specificity of collections that are useful for study in the different disciplinary area, ability to search for paper or digital documents, knowledge of the Sole 24 ore database, knowledge of BEM services and premises.
Acquired skills will be checked by means of ongoing self-assessment quizzes and a final test.
